The Judicial Compensation and Benefits Commission was appointed in September 1999, pursuant to the Judges Act. Its mandate is to review and make recommendations to the Minister of Justice with regard to the compensation and benefits of federally appointed judges. Commissioners are Richard Drouin (Chair), Eleanore Cronk and Fred Gorbet. They are appointed for four years. The Commission will make its recommendations by May 31, 2000.
